Why Google reminds me of Wal-Mart
Those of you that ever hang around me know that I often refer to Wal-Mart as the "Pit of Hell". I don't know why I ever came up with this purely affectionate name for my beloved store that I used to visit on a weekly basis, but it has stuck. Now maybe it's because its my general American dislike for anything that gets so big by going for the lowest common denominator. My gosh, everyone and their mother goes to Wal-Mart and so this brings me to Google. Everyone and their mother goes to Google. I remember very clearly the day I bowed to the power of Google. Metacrawler used to be my favorite search engine because it searched all other major search engines, and still does. But Google's simplicity simply amazed me and I was drawn by its power like a moth to a flame. Little did I know Google would become the god of search engines. Maybe its because I took pride to be there in the beginning when it was small and largely unknown and now that EVERYBODY uses it I don't feel like I should use it anymore. But I still do because I love the power. Power Power POWER HAhAHaHAhHAhHAhHAh
